EYES – Dr. Abby Jakob

Dr. Abby Jakob was born and raised in Kingsville, Ontario, and after spending eight years away at school, she was proud to return home to take care of your whole family's eye care needs.

Dr. Jakob attended Kingsville District High School, where she played basketball, soccer, volleyball, and badminton, as well as alto saxophone in the school's gold-medal winning jazz band! Dr. Jakob is bilingual in English and French. She was awarded a full scholarship to play basketball in Halifax at Dalhousie University, where she graduated with honours in Kinesiology. She then attended the Illinois College of Optometry where she graduated summa cum laude in May of 2014. Her proudest accomplishment from optometry school was being voted "Colleague of the Year" by her peers.

In her spare time, Dr. Jakob loves to spend time with her new baby girl, Max and her husband, Patrick! She loves to spend time with her family and friends, go on a boat trip to Cedar Point and travel. She also loves playing with her cat and dog.

Dr. Jakob welcomed Baby Dal into her family recently!
